Welcome!
Hello, My name is Alexandria Lentz and this is my blog. I was born on September 21st in Three Rivers hospital . I am 13 years old. I'm in the 8Th grade. I have a mother and dad and one sister one brother. My sisters name is Leanna and my brothers name is Jacob. This blog is for my technology class. My blog will talk about meny different things. For example it will talk about Wikipedia, tools of trade, web 2.0, and much more.

Thing 1- Tools of the Trade
A good place for a projector is on a desk, table or on the ceiling orsome where in the middle of the class room. I would put it eather on a desk or ceiling in the middle of the class room.
Thing 2 - Web 2.0
I think that "A Day in the Life of Web2.0" report was very good. I think that the podcast was a good thing for kids to put on their ipod so they could learn on the go. I think that all the teachers having a blog so they could learn about the topics and actives in the other class rooms, and so they could all teach one thing but in different subjects. For instance when the history teacher is teaching about World War two and the science teacher reads the history teachers blog and relates to what that teacher is teaching.
The movie was interesting It had alot of ture facts about people using technology.

Thing 3- Blogs
I think that blogs would b helpful in a classroom because students and teachers can keep in touch with one another. For example when a student needs help she/he could go to the teachers blog (where she/he keeps the assignments) and see what the assignment was. The student could go another students blog and see what that student wrote if she/he has it done. Blogs are also helpful to teachers because the teachers could relate to their lessions wth one another.
Thing 4- RSS Feed Readers
Some pro's of the RSS Feed Reader are that it is nice to be able to get to the websites faster then typing them. And it is nice that you don't have to browse them and you can't get to it at home. It is very nice that there is a website that you can get to the other websites with out going through all the hassle of typing the URL. It is easier to get to the website with organising them. Some con's of the RSS Feed Reader is that what if you gt to many websites and you can't put anymore on. you think that you could delete some websites that you don't use but the problem is that you use all the websites.
Thing 5 - Educational Bookmarking/Networking
Part 1
I think the good things about social bookmarking is that you can bookmark websites on another website. Also because you can be on any computer and get to your favorite websites with out having to go through the hassle of knowing the websites URLs.
The bad things i think about social bookmarking is what if him/her don't want anyone to see there bookmarks? You know there is a lot of people that don't want other people to see. I'm sure that there is much more questions that people have about it which is a bad thing about it.
Part 2
Right now i have joined MaculSpace and Classroom 2.0. I think that both of them are educational. I think that social bookmarking, like Classroom 2.0, when people can join is a good thing because you can talk to each other. And if some one has a website posted you can check it out. Another words you can get introduced to many other websites.
Thing 6 - Wiki's
I think that wikki's would be very useful for a group project because the students can get on the internet and have the right websites and the students couldn't mess around and not do their work by getting on chat sites. I think that it is a very good thing that we have these wikki's
Thing 8 - Google Docs
This is what i think of Google Doc's is that the presentations and how you can have one presentation and have lots of people can either edit or view the presentations. I think that is so cool. I dont like how when you have some thing at the same thing and it cant work like that. I do not like that. I think in the class room you can use it to do papers together and projects and stuff like that.
